Scale and Clean

A professional clean by the dentist removes calculus and plaque deposits around your teeth and under the gumline that cannot be removed with normal everyday brushing at home. Such regimes will help prevent tooth decay and gum disease. This procedure can sometimes be sensitive if it has been a long time in between cleans. After the clean we recommend a topical fluoride treatment which helps with sensitivity and helps to strengthen the teeth. We recommend having plaque and calculus removed every six months for optimal gum health.
